I use just a basic Aztek single-action airbrush, but I have the opportunity to get one of two Badger double-action ABs for 40% off. They are the Anthem and the Crescendo. What can you guys and gals tell me about these?
Thanks.

Hey Folgore,
I have an Anthem, It's easy to clean, only three parts to remove, but I just don't like it for some reason, not something you could put a finger on. Maybe it's my inexperience with DA brushes. I bought a Crescendo today, and will be painting this weekend, I'll let you know if it's any better.

Thanks Bribo. I'll be waiting for your thoughts on the Crescendo. The 40% off deal only lasts a week.
I might also note that the Crescendo they have is a Medium version, so would the lines be thinner with the Anthem?

the only experience I have with badger is the single action I have. for some reason I just dont like that brand of airbrush. i recently got a paasche vl. with three tips. I love it so far it is the best I have , I had the axtex but getting replacement parts took a act of congress to get them :-). I would not trade anything for my paasche vl

Use both Badger which I have had for 30 plus years not a bad brush single action and the Paasche which is also single action. I like it but don't like cleaning it you have to take it apart with little set screw and have to be careful when you screw the nozzle back on as damage can happen real easy came with 3 tips. It is good brush but reguires a lot of TLC. Final decision is Badger which is easier to clean. but another one where you must watch out for the head that you don't damage it I guess they all are like that. This is my input . but overall I like the Badger the best but crappy airline if it does not come with a real one buy one they use to come with a plastic airline.

Folgore, I wanted to pint you at a quick URL.
dixieart.com
They have truly great prices, and free shipping on orders over $45.00. They are where i get all my supplies. I don't know if their prices are better than your 40% sale, but for example I bought my crescendo kit with all thre tips (fine, med, hi-flow), braided hose, and three bottles for $69.00. I know they have the Paasche VL DA brush, don't recall the price. Give them a look if you have a chance. I'll let you know how the paint session goes.
