Well this forum is just in time as i'm just starting my tamiya duce and a half for the Move it Campain.
I'll throw out the first question..
Does anyone have any good pics of the engines of the CCkW. I'd like to leave the engine open but I think it needs a little detailing... either vintage photos or photos of a restoration in progress would be useful.
Thanks all and a G'day to you to MrRoo

Do you have the Tamiya version? If so, I finished mine a couple of months ago (it is very addicting and a blast to build). I have photos in my gallery (sorry not much in the way of engines). There is also a walkaround of the Deuce and a half and a trailer.

Unfortuately, with only a quick glance, I did not see any engine details, however, there are still plenty of other pictures available to help you with the rest of the build. I am also available for any questions. Many of the members have built trucks (Mr. Roo, or I think many in the Move It campaign), so ask around. Enjoy.

To open the hood, you will have to cut the hood piece. The piece include the hood, and a section of the cab. I did it and then I realized that I didn't really want to leave the hood open because it looked kind of funny. If you look at the gap between my hood and the cab you can kind of tell that it was cut open. Anyway, don't be put off by my rambling. Best of luck.
