Thinking of a diorama for all British Para Buffs some thing to depict the Falklands would be good, perhaps Goose Green the battle / surrender, Col H, Pebble island, the Marines at Stony Brook the fact that the Argentinians used US helmets FN rifles, thank god for us 7.62 same as SLR uniforms looked very American used a LOT of US kit, Amtracs going through Port Sanley during the invasion, buildings very colour full in the sense brightly painted roofs etc and the terrain and land features rocky out crops gorse bushes moorland very few trees, very little cover, just a thought regards Tango 20 cheers Chris

Oh, that made me laugh. I am glad you put this disclaimer in your message as I am sure you would have gotten some slammed for the so called "violation of copyrights".

like james said,
very limited armour and heavy equipment in the falklands,
probably the last 'soldiers war', with most of the ground fighting being undertaken by infantry.
i also have plenty of photos and references so if you need anything drop me a pm.
as for figures, im not sure of anything in plastic,
accurate armour have several good falklands figures,
kirin did a set of royal marines,
although most figures of postwar british infantry could be modified for falklands troops, as a variety of kit was used.
regards
joe

you could use the Tamiya stretcher bearer figures for a start. And also the AFV club or Revell scorpion /scimitar in 1/35 scale there are a few other 120 mm figures out there of British troops in the Falklands during the conflict but cant think who makes them

Thanks Guys for the replys,
Iam thinking more on the lines of the engagements involving the Paras ie Goose Green etc in a sense i expanded the topic for others who have an interest in the Paras /marines/and other involved regiments sadley the involvement of the Welsh Guards was curtailed by by bad planing and bad leadership with awful concequences many of which became Captains of industry!!!!.
I think i will in the end go for etheir the surrender at goose green i can create a lot of detail remember the piles of helmets rifles and kit or the battle for Goverment house in Port Stanley perhaps i can find a 1/35 London Taxi that was at the building and which the Govner used to drive around the town.
Yea they used a type of US amtrac
Cheers guys tango 20 chris
