I have really been wanting to build a 'nam dio for w hile now and now that i have some money i think i should build one before i go back to my old roots so i am going to ask you very generous people if you could help me out on ideas and fiugures/armour.

Tamyia's M48 is a good one to buy along with Academy's vietnam era m113 loads of spres full interior and figures and all for £17 also dragon has re-issued it's vietnam range of figures

You can go through some Vietnam books for your ideas. I bet if you checked your local library you'll find a ton of books on the Vietnam war. Just thumb through a few pages and pick out the ones you like. Look here,

Like most of the guys have said, photos of the war are good references. It also helps if you've narrowed it down to a town, village, jungle or river scene. I'm planning to do 2 dios on Vietnam, one involving the SEALS and the other SOG (if I managed to get the Dragons sets on SOG and NVA sappers). Anyway here's a couple of links on photos that may help:
