Hi Shain, you might try the technique i used in my brave souls dio for wattled fences. It in essence is a wicker fence. here is a link

Shain, I have something you might be interested in.

I have some Resin wicker and timber trench walls from The Model Cellar. These are now OOP I think, but I have at least 2-3 sets each. Nice detail and they are 1/35th -54mm. The box says WWI Trench Sections, but they will work for other eras. Sorry I dont have a pic, but maybe you can (or someone else) can find a pic on the net.
