Hi guys. Does anyone thin Future before airbrushing? I am applying it full strength at about 25 psi and it just doesn't cover very smoothly. I appreciate your help.

I just apply it full strength...
remember future settles too... so if you think it looks pebbley.. that should flatten out..
if you have any areas where it accumlated too much.. take a paper towel and touch the corner against it (let the towel soak up the access)...
then as it dries it will all settle out... I think Future always looks gross going on.. but then is fine as it dries...

Frag... I've experimented with thinning future with pure distilled water with limited results...I don't know if increasing the orifice and psi would help or not...never went that far with it...Hope this helps some, sir..

I thin it with a little Isopropyl Alcohol, say 10 parts Future to 1 part Alcohol. It dulls the sheen a little but seems to flow alot better. HtH

I have just started using Johnson Klear (future) and I have thinned 50/50 with tap water. It goes on a bit patchy and wet but dries ok with a smooth finish. I will try it 100% to see how it goes.

I use future full strength, but at a much lower PSI. A pebblely finish usually points to the future drying before it has a chance to level out. A second coat will usually help. Check out his link, as there is some excellent info here:
