Tamiya M41: Good Money After Bad?

I finally saw the AFV Club M41 Walker Bulldog today. It was $40 and seemed kind of steep to me; however, after I went back to my room and took a good look at my Tamiya Bulldog and all the aftermarket accessories I have for it, I now wonder if I'm throwing good money after bad.

Here's the list with prices for my Tamiya Bulldog:
Tamiya M41 Walker Bulldog #35055: $10.00
AFV Club M41 Light Tank Wheels & Suspension: 17.98
AFV Club M41 T91E3 Track #35052: 8.98
Barrel Depot M32 76mm Gun #35018: 11.95
Eduard M41 Walker Bulldog PE #35040: 10.00
Ordnance Models M41 Walker Bulldog PE A-031: 10.00
Skybow M2 .50 Caliber Machine Gun #FS3501: 7.95
Combat Series Assortment Pioneer Tools CS-47: 5.00
Hudson & Allen Tow Cable #9508: 8.98

TOTAL=$90.84!! Now of course, the last three items can be used on other kits, but that $40 doesn't look too bad now. I think the term for this is "money pit".

Rob, I did the same thing with a Tiger I have yet to finish... I can relate... the aftermarket bug can be terrible.

Yes it is a money pit. This M-41 is a nice kit but you still get those vinyl kind of tracks look good but the addons should look better.. And it comes with the Aluminum barrel. So total on mine was 32 plus the tracks 48 or close to it. I think Dragon is a better deal on their models.
