I just did them as links because I never felt right about putting big pictures in topics.

This is my first attempt at using more than one color in camo. I hand painted most of the tank and tried to be creative about the SS camo on the other dude.

Of course, I saw a couple of things I missed as I looked at the pics, as I'm sure many of you will too.

On the first pic I noticed that the left?side track is crooked Hopefully it will be easily corrected Maybe the track just sipped off the sprocket teeth?

looking good!

your should try to drybrush the tow cables and the tracks with a 'rusty' colour. That should enhance the look of this beast!

ooo.. i just love tigers is it the tmiya kit? however, imho the pictures appear washed out... maybe you shouldnt take flash picture with the camera too close to the subject.. looks a bit out of focus too. perhaps you could take the picture outside for more natural light... what do u think..

I've got the same critiques...... the right side track is off set and very crooked. The tracks should be a brownish color with areas drybrushed with steel to make them stand out. Try giving the whole model a light wash of very very very diluted black paint for weathering effects. You need to find a better color for the tow cables and spare track. Also remove the spare track from the front of the hull. I have never ever seen spare track stowed there on a KIng Tiger (Tiger 1 --yes). pretty good job on the 3 color cammo scheme it's pretty bright, but that's why I suggested the wash

I suggest you buy yourself an airbrush. Is this King Tiger your first model?

No, I'm just very good at building models.

It was my first King Tiger attempt though.

Thanks to everyone who gave me the constructive advice!

Hi Mike,

You really need to post some pic's with better light, 'cause the colors don't look right at all. The yellow's to light, and the green looks to glossy/bright. The Red is to bright aswel. Are the wheels the steel rimmed ones?, otherwise the (rubber) tyres should be painted.
Needs a few finishing touches, but it's getting there.

Cheers
Henk

Howdy there Mike!
Your build looks good! I am a OD modeler, never have built a German vehicle yet! But The paint job looks good, but a little bright. If you can just tone it down a bit with a light wash it will look dandy!
Keep up the good work!
