Rowan, I have to 100% agree with you this is a wonderful book for anyone wanting to make a display for their model or an all out diorama. I just picked this book up last month. It expalins and answers virtually all questions about doing groundwork!! Cheers Kevin

Cool Review, I have actually ordered this book from the military book club here in Canada, but their panflet on it didn't say much about it. The review really makes me glad I ordered it.
Will be looking forward to it now!!!!

I too would have to agree. After having a chance to thumb through the book, it not only gives you tons of how to's but also explains it very well and has excellent illustrations.

Well receiving this book as a BD gift from Jackhammer81 was a miracle , since damn bookstores dont bring it here. It is amazing , that he explains in simple good words , many techniques, gives ideas, and have many many nice colour pictures , and step by step picture series that are nice to show progress.
i ll suggets that to anyone that wants to build any kind of dios

The entire MASTERCLASS series, of which this is one example, is a first rate set of references. Another that is equally important and useful is the "MasterClass Building Dioramas"... same hard-bound format, loads of color pics, and great subjects.... the Terrain book is a wonderful reference.

Ola People
I too am a Happy owner of the book for several months now. I was happy enough to score it in a bargain as somebody was (completely not understandable) selling it.
This book shows the art of dio building really well and lots and lots of great techniques together with great photographs explain how to do groundworks.
A must have for every Diobuilder

The book is a treasure. One of my favorite references. The only drawback is that some of the key material are next to impossible to get in the U.S.
Rubberized horsehair, silver birch catkin leaves, flexibark, etc. I traded beef jerky for Dutch rubberized horsehair. I begged my son who lives in Prague to "harvest" silver birch catkin seeds, that I hoard like a miser. And the folks at 4-D modelshop in London took pity on me and generously sent me some Flexibark to try.
Having heard from those that don't have Michaels stores or Hobby Lobby stores or well-equipted model stores, distributors or book stores, I now know how they feel.
Hey, son, isn't it Fall agin in the Czech Republic?

Probably the best money I spent on a book. Absolutely a great item to have in your collection.
