Hi gang,

I'm looking desperately for ANY info about the Sherman flamethrower tank, the only thing I know for sure, is that it served during the Korean War.
I've tried on Google but the results were very poor!!
So now I'm calling out to all of the Sherma-holics on this site!!

Thanks in advance, John.

Are you looking for a specific model that served in Korea? Flame tanks of all sorts were used in the WW2 Pacific too. Some shot out of old modified 75mm. Some replaced the hull MG with a thrower. I think some even had a shooter in the co-driver's periscope. Some carried fuel inside while others carried fuel in a trailer.

OK,Dragon makes a
M-4A3 HVSS,POA-CWS-H5.
That was the Korean war version.Like the last picture there(thanks pete).
The Dragon kit is numbered,6807.
If you leave off the tube to the right of the regular cannon, you have a plain M-4A3 HVSS (105)

There are photos of a flame tank being tested in Germany. That variant had the flame thrower mounted in place of the ball gun.

Thanks so far Guys....
This was more than the results I've got by Google!
@ Carl: So it's just the case to leave the second tube off to get a plain 105mm version?

Again, thanks so far, and I hope to show some pics in the near future about this model!!

John,
As for the 105 thats how the external look is,the gunner's direct fire telescope would be removed,so not adding the flame tube, should leave the telescope opening.
my CMA disclaimer is:
Check your references!

I have a bunch of pics of an M4A1 Flasme tank that is at Fort Jackson, SC. Let me know if interested and I will post or send the pics. The tank is a later model with the cast in applique armor on the hull. I also have a pic of the descrition data plate.
