I'm thinking of doing a "Battle of Bulge" diorama that would be set on a muddy, lightly snow covered back road with either a Tiger II or JagdPanther or Pzkpfw IV getting supplies (ammo, fuel). I plan to show a group of Volksgrenadiers walking past, escorting some captured GIs back to the rear. What I need the most is help in figuring out what type of vehicle would best fit to represent bringing up the supplies to the Panzer. So please, your opinions on whether to use Opel Blitz, Opel Maultier, Mercedes Benz L3000, Krupp Protze, Steyer RSO or something else maybe ? Thanks in advance for the inputs and help.

For a 'Bulge ' dio, I think you should forget about the Germans bringing up supplies. They didn't, as they had none. One reason why this was the last , desperate attempt was that they didn't have enough supplies left themselfs. Their operational brief was to try and capture as many Allied supplies as possible as they would need those to get to their objectives.
One (if not the main) reason the German advance ended was because they ran out of fuel, and the King Tigers and Jagdpanthers they trew in just stopped. The Germans lost the battle of the bulge as much because they ran out of supplies ( fuel) as anything else.
Cheers

Well if you really need that "supply vehicle" maybe it's going the same direction as the POWs, with "captured" supplies ?

Blade48mrd,
I am not sure if you have seen this site:
http://ardenne44.free.fr/page3.html it has a couple of pictures that show vehicles.

Appears to be a Horch?

This is the remains of a German convoy.
Although they are not very good for what you may be looking for it does show that they still was a variety of vehicles.
