Heya all, i got my digi camera back and time for new pics of my works.
This is what i call a "fun project". hwen doing fun projects i dont pay atention on references,right/wrong colours etc... i just make what i like and test new skills!
On this one i've so far tested bending/damaging and pastel/pigments weathering on the tracks.
so here are some test shots:
BEFORE
AFTER
More pics can be found on my webiste (just click on the pic in signature)
There are also some new galeries, reviews and workbench projects.
All comments most welcome!

Sensei, Looks like a good clean build, although a bit shiny for my taste. Is it just me or is the entire tank, minus the main gun tube shiny? Other than that, looks good. "Q"
ps. might want to paint your bow MG too.

hi Mirko,
nice built.i like the damage on side skirts and front fenders. i agree the color looks gloss but it will be good as dull coat painted and weathered.what are your plans for using this in a diorama?
best regards

Hi Sensei, Nice Tiger, but a few questions/remarks:
The driver and radio operator hatch periscopes are not right, they're looking the wrong way.
The smoke candle holders should be angeled up, not level or down
I'm not 100 % sure, but I don't think the Tiger was produced in Panzer Grey, Should be DunkelGelb. But somebody will probably correct me on that one
Cheers
Henk

Well thats for sure a nice clean build. I know what u mean saying u build for fun. U build to make it beautiful , not caring to make it 1000% right. well its a nice piece of armor there. and with proper weathering will make it show off more. Keep like that u re in the good way , and also check other mates notes on probable mistakes, if theyre repairable do it .

Hi Sensei,
With the periscope I meant that they look in the wrong direction. The periscopes should be in the forward part of the hatch, not rear and should be looking 'away' to the left or right a bit. I hope my photo shows it, but I don't have a clearer one.
The periscopes on your Tiger look 'inwards'.
As for the color, I think your grey Tiger looks cool. You are quite right, modeling should be fun, and if you like it, that what counts.
Cheers
Henk

yes, the earlier Tigers that were produced in 1942 were painted in dunkelgrau (dark grey)
Tigers (as in all other vehicles) produced after February 18th 1943 were in dunkelgelb (dark yellow)

The Italeri Tiger kit is a fun and easy build, but not the most accurate in the world - hence the track issue. Still your assembly looks well done. Perhaps a little rust along the damaged edges of the track guards?
