hey guys.. i was wondering what went wrong. its the first tiem i bother using primer and iam kinda fustrated. i cleaned my model, let it dry fro a good 2 days. then u sprayed it with mm master grey primer. and when it dried, it left bubbles on the model. mayeb htere was to much paint, sicne it seems to be in corners were tehre could be paitn build up. what do you think? ( O, by the way, i gave it two coats of primer, and 2 coats of testors green paint)
Thanks guys

MMMm sounds like possibly too much paint. Although, I am not sure if MM Primer is the same as the Testors primer or not.
Thats what I use is the Testor's Primer in the spray can....would like to try the Tamiya stuff, but can't swallow the $14 a can that most places want....come on, is it really that good?????
Sorry, back to the topic at hand.....I used to spray it right out of the can, but always thought it went on way too thick...so I started decanting it from the spray can to an airbrush bottle, and then adding a few drops of thinner to it, seems to work a little better. And one coat of primer has always done the trick for me.
Now having said that, the MM Primer maybe different again I don't know. If its part of their acrylic based line, I have found them to be very thin to start with.
If you aren't too far along on the kit, and you want to strip the paint off and start over, get your self a bottle of Castrol Super Clean from Walmart, soak the kit in it and the paint will practically fall off the kit.

Never used MM primer, I prefer out of old habit, Floquil, been using it for 30 years without a problem, can't see a reason to change.

IMHO, I think you may have to much paint builed up. I've applied MM grey primer by airbrush and a regular brush on resin and plastic. I never had it ever bubble on me.

Just so you know, if you can find the Testors Primer in the spray can, this is the same as the Floquil primer that everyone raves about, both paint comes off of the same assembly line, and are both made by Testors, just a different label on the can.
If your local shop doesn't have either, check out your nearest Walmart, they usually have some of the it with a Testors label.
