thats pretty sweet, looks like a big shell hit it, so maybe there would be damage on the other side?

I like the blow out. I can tell you that this wasn't easy. Just to let you know if you didn't already. Because of the outward explosion, it would seem that ammo exploded. External hits blow panels in, internal explosions blow out. So internal burn marks and debris should reflect that. But you may already know this.

Ola Keith
I`m following the progress on this dio very close as it is very interesting and it is a piece of history happened in my country.
I like the way you made the damaged sidewalls looks like this Hanomag lost a match against a British PIAT round.
Jeff
I think Keith is indeed already aware of this because he made the seat springs visible without the benchcovers.
I hate to say this as I know how hard it is to convert but in my opinion (and I can be terribly wrong and if I am correct me) the seatsprings are too thick. They look out of scale. Maybe you could have done them in a thinner gauge of wire but hey the whole thing looks very good to me.
Great job. can`t wait to see the thing finished.

Hi Keith,
NIce job so far on the whole thing. As already stated doing a vehicle that has had a catastrophic explosion is a hard thing to pull off but I think you are well on your way. If you dont mind I have a few small nit pics. First the buckled floor boards look like they are flat styrene sheet. They should be textured tread plate. second is the size of the springs . They look a bit out of scale and should be about half the size I would say. Also did they even have springs in the rear bench seats? I thought they were leather stuffed with horsehair or something similar on a wire frame. The seats fold inwards to have access to the storage lockers beneath them. Keep up the great work. that Bridge looked awesome so far as well.
Cheers,
Bryan

the springs where just an idea but on further checking the references and speaking to other who know more about 251's than me it appears that they are basically leather stuffed with some material, and it was quite obvious once i had done the pictures that the springs where way out of scale anyway
the floor plate is in fact thread plate but it doesnt show very well in the picture, hopefully it will show better once painted
The panel are remade from 20tho plastic card then cut with a jagged patern, bent using a finger then the edges are roughed up using a small file. The thinner inner skin is made using thick foil and damaged in the same way
