Looking real good Ed!! Ya just gotta love that four-deuce and your's looks just great!!
Probably the only thing that's really drawing my attention is the whites of the figure's eyes. A little too bright. (Can you put a wash in there to tone them down a little?) Other than that, you did a maaaavalous job with those old Tamiya figures!

Hi Ed,
Really nice dio, I like the way you have done the set-up, with the open side. Really takes you 'into' the pit.
I noticed a hole in the wall, is that intentional or have the posts slipped down?
Veery nice groundwork, and love the radio on the edge.
It looks like a well prepared and maintained pit, is it on a range?
Good job
Cheers
Henk

is the whites of the figure's eyes
Didn't notice that they stood out so much until I glued the figures onto the ground. I over did the painting of the eyes. I'm goingto try a little later on and see if I can fix that problem.

Yes, it was intentional. I was trying to depict a mortar pit that has been occupiedand improved over a few days. In the US Army doctrine, all defensive positions will be continually improved. With the mortar pit phase 2 and 3 includes adding sandbags/poles/ logs, berm which would include an opening to allow the gunner to sight on the aiming posts.

No, I wasn't trying to depict a mortar pit on a range. THough it might be easier to say that and stop. I ws trying to depict a mortar pit during a deliberate defense in an training excerise where a mortar platoon is conducting a live fire.
