Hello,
I am making a dio of some GI's looting some booze and the have sat there rifles down and I want to put slings on their rifles. Can anyone help?

Yes, cut them from tinfoil or thin paper and glue with CA.

Foil or the covering layer (foil) for prepackaged foods is a good source.
Use a metal ruler and measure out two marks the desired thickness. Then line the ruler up and drag a new #11 knife blade down the ruler to get a strip.
You can make buckels out of small guage wire or solder.
Glue with a touch of CA.

One of the best items for slings is the tops of yougurt containers. The foil has a texture that looks good when painted and drybrushed.

masking tape.take a strip a couple of inches long and stick it to a piece of glass.paint the one side and after drying use a ruler and sharp blade to cut strips the width you want.then peel the strip off and attach one end to the gun,the sticky side of the tape will hold it in place.next add a touch of glue to that end.when this drys pull the tape to the desired length and snip with scissors.repeat the same for this end.after this drys all that's left is to paint the underside.works great for any type of strapping.
