Hi Karl
I like the sheen on the tiger .... it actually looks like metal. I would however add more pastels to simulate dust. Both effects will work well together. The tiger looks nice.. good solid build and paint job. Some folks like their model in "new" condition, but I personally would add a few chips, and and a few personal pieces of stowage and useful stuff to give it a used look.
I love this Tristar crew ... Im actually using the same figures for my Bergetiger. One thing ... 2 of them are gazing at something off to the side and the third, who has the binoculors, seems to be in the huff behind them. Would it not be better to have them all focusing on the same subject? Would love to see a close up of the figures! All the best!

what an amazing and clean build tiger. I like the sheen on the tiger. Looks so clean and real with the exception of a few minor as others have mentioned.
May i know what Tamiya kit is that?? Is it early prod?
i would also love to see the close-up view of those lovely Tristar figures.
cheers

Been following this from the start tigeriv, and i have to say that it has turned out real good, if a little too clean and shiny for my own taste. I prefer a little more dirt and damage myself. The figures look great will have to invest in a set of those myself, in fact all the tristar figure sets look real good and at a fraction of the cost of resin.

I think its a bit too clean. the tracks are weathered nicly but the front plate of the tank is very clean

Tigeriv
Nice job.
I was wondering what guys/gals thought about the figures. I love the colors and detail and sheen (gloss) on the skin, but what if you brushed on a light coat of dull coat to give the cloth a flater look. Leather would shin but I don't think cloth would unless wet. Just an observation.

Really nice work on your DAK Tiger I. I really like that shade of Olivgrun you have. Crew figures are perfect, and I dont see a problem with the poses. I would make the Tiger a bit more dusty, and maybe some bare metal on the tracks. Decals look awesome !
Fantastic work !!
Cheers !!

Looking great Karl, but I have to agree with some of the other comments, it's just a bit too clean for me. But hey that's just my opinion!
I'm dazzled by the pace you build your models, I mean, I need approxemately 2 months to finish a model, and I see about every three weeks a new model by your hand!!
The Tristar crew is very nicely posed, and you did an amazing paint job on them. That's one of my weekest points, painting figures, but when I see one like these, it makes me want to try some of my own!!
Keep the piccies coming, greetz. john.

Great build and excellent figures!
I agree with previous posters.
If you look at your photos and the weathering on your wheels and side hull and compare with the lack of weathering on the front and upper parts of the hull plus the non existent weathering on the turret it does seeem ... strange.
I know from my visits to the desert (or beach) that sand just seems to work itself into the best covered and protected places...
Keep up the great work!
Cheers, Michael
