This is getting old. First I wanted an accurate M40 GMC so I find an old one the so called 1/40 scale model reboxed by life like. Checked all demendions. Sucker is 1/35 except for the gun mount and the gun. Use parts from the AFV m115 towed (will build the 8" instead) and added an interior. Bought the AFV indi t80 tracks. Bad tracks, bad bad. Man what a mess every other track split down the middle and if I try to just glue every thing up there's no way to mount it on the model. So, while I'm pulling teeth here and trying to figure out how to do this, Cookie tells me why bother AFV is releasing that vehicle in 1/35 later this year. That works for me. So lets start the upgrade for my Tamiya M163. Got the verlinden set and stole parts from my academy and italeri kits to create the ingine compartment and the open door on the hatch. Everthing looks good. Lots of work but what the heck gotta do it if youwant it right? Now rob says in another article that those damn AFV dudes are going to release a kit with all kinds of goodies like aluminum barrels etc. Thats it. No more. I'm going to just think what I want next and wait for A F V to come out with it. Uh, how bought a 5ton truck cira 1968 AFV dudes? Or am I going to have to start one. (actually I already did not too bad but could be better). Ok here's my list of gotta build my self. Honest John Launcher, M114, M59? GMC in 1/35, M48A2 with interior in 1/35 AND 1/18 got the Centry 21 M48. Looks not to bad and with a little work, ok a lot of work I'll have a large scale model at one millionth the cost of what is out there. And if know one minds a nice M56 90mm GMC in 1/35. We have one in front of my American Legion Post Home Legion Post 251 Duluth Georgia. Thats pronounced Do luth. Duluth is in Mennisota. (did I put enough E's and N's in there?) Ok so if anyone know of what is coming out please post it, my stack of could beens is starting to get large.

Howdy ARMDCAV,

For the Honest John Launcher check out Gunnie's site for his version of the M31 Honest John / M289 276mm Tactical Rocket Launcher. As to the M114, check out Accurate Armour. They just released their version. It cost a couple of shekels though.

Tread.

P.S. Your time spent on Gunnies site will be well worth the visit!

I think the way it works is you have to start one. But on the bright side, when the kit of a 5 ton truck comes out all of us who have been waiting for one will know exactly who to thank.
