Hey Paul, Is there realy such a need for so varied a number of fiiters. Threee of the vehicles shown seem redundant. Why have a vehicle to carry a pare engine they're usually cak at the foward repo depo on trucks. Has there been some development in procedeure to warrant them?

Josh, I see your point. However one is a cargo carrier, one is a fitters vehicle and one is a recovery vehicle. Each has a seperate function. I guess an M113 or even and MTVL is still not big enough to do both the fitter and recovery function on one chassis.

So will we see Trackjam or MLM come out with the conversions for these lovely m113 designs? Maybe I'll just have to dig oput the scrap styrene and knife again.

I wholeheartedly agree Maple Leaf Models stuff is (to quote my students) "Da bomb!"
Any of those variants done by them would be amazing!
I have their 113 interior set and it is immaculate!
Finally SOMEONE did a ramp pulley in 1/35th..my main gripe with the Academy kits (other than those HUGE e-pin caverns..)

here's hoping!

These vehicles are based on the M113A4. It is a lenghtened M113 by about 3 feet and one road wheel. Here is more info on it:
M113 @ United Defense

US Army was considering these vehicles as well and decided to stick with M113A3 variant and upgrade to those. The Egyptian IFV is a pretty effective vehicle, it has a Bradley turret mated to an M113A4 hull. I have also seen a model of this as well, somewhere.

A MLM /Trackjam kit is certainly a future possibility. However, you will nootice that the M113A3/MTVL track is niether original M113 or diehl track. that will make it tricky.
