I have run into a bit of a problem. I have usually used artitst's chalks to do washes, or a darker version of the color I am using with a model. However, buildin my flak 88, I started using washes of black tamiya acrylic thinned with water. What happened was that, after a few washes, the gun simply seemed as though it had been cooked (btw, it is in 1:72). So, can anyone advise me on how to do a proper wash? I have just thought that maybe I am supposed to remove all the excess water from the model, but capillary action channels the paint to the edges anyway. please advise
