Well now I was rereading the latest issue of MMIR and when I came to the article on the Paladin I saw that the large boxes on the Bustle rack storage boxes are for M-72s are these something left over from the older days of the orginial ones or are they still used?

Well, Sgt Reef, I havnt seen a LAW since my basic training days in 89'. I do know that the Paladin kit is just a revamped upgrade from the old Italeri M109 kit. The hull is still the same, but the turret is different.
LETS ASK ROB(SABOT), HE KNOWS EVERYTHING! Really, I think Rob has a Paladin in his motor pool.

M109A6 Paladin does have the boxes on the rear bustle racks for M72 LAWs. The smaller, square boxes are also for claymore mines. The LAW is no longer used in active service. It was replaced in the early 1990's by AT-4 system. But, remember, development of a vehicle takes years. Paladin was originally designed in early '80's when LAW was still in use. The turret bustle racks were never changed. All new M109A6 Paladins still come with LAW containers. They work great for holding coke cans though.

Nope, I deferred all artillery questions to Gino, our resident Red Leg. I know very little about artillery pieces, SP or towed. DATs' only contact with the artillery is the fire support teams riding around in M981 FIST-Vs and now B-FISTs.

No, I don't have an A6, just an A4 and A5 (see motorpool for shots of the A5).
