Been looking for this one for ages, had to get it from Hobbylink in Hong Kong. Tamiya with the Eduard PE set. No figures as yet but hoping to get some nice ones at Halifax Model Centre on Saturday. Comments welcome.

Vinnie. I like it. You did a good job getting the tracks to form a good shape (no bulge on top). Good paint job too, the weathering is nice.
The shot from the front looks like the left front wheel is suffering from "toe-in".

Thanks Mike, I've left the wheels steerable for later use in a dio. I had to superglue the tracks down. Bloody awful they are! But I've a thing for halftracks!

Hi,
I like the exterior of the halftrack, very nice! But the inside is a little dark for my taste...
Still very good job, keep it up!

Nice build Vinnie. I like the weathering, particularly the way it spreads up the sides.
I've got one on the way from HongKong (from Ebay). It'll be the load in my Rhine crossing LCM, so the tracks will mostly be hidden.

I like it too Teach. I especially like the seats, they look well worn, dirty and oily, just as you'd expect.
The ONLY thing I'd change is I'd load it up even more with personal gear. I've heard these things called Gypsy Caravans and that's really how they seemed to look.
Great job.

I like how the gas cans are a different shade. I also like the way the side racks are bent up

Glad you asked that Allen! I've had major difficulties in trying to make stowage of this sort from scratch but finally think I have it sorted.
Toilet tissue. Most of which seems to be 2-ply. Take a single layer, which makes it almost scale thickness. Fold it into the required shape and hold together with a tiny drop of PVA. Placed in shape, straps tightened around it and then very thin superglue soaked into it drop by drop until it's all covered. Seems to give it a nice texture. Try it!

Delbert, I spray all tools Nat black, then satin. Handles are then brush painted with sand yellow before being given a wash of Citadel brown ink. The metal parts of the tools can then be rubbed with powdered graphite. Hope this helps!

I bought this kit a while ago and it included 9 figures and a lot of stowage / accessory stuff. Did they eliminate that with the remake? Nice looking build, don't know when I'll get around to mine So much to do so little time.

Steve, the 9 figures are still issued with the kit and all the stowage, however, I'll want to change the figures according to the dio I put it into, and all the stowage is pretty crap anyway.

Hiya Vinnie,
Great looking M3A2, specially the weathering and the scratched tarps on the back racks!!
I have one in stash, and can you tell me if the PE set is neccesairy to touch-up this model?
Greetz, John.

Fine work here, especially on the vehicle markings/decals--nicely snuggled over the hood, and good job splitting the star on the armored grill.
The straps on the rear stowage also have a natural lay to them.
This one is a keeper.

John, thanks for the kind comments. Regarding the Eduard PE set, I'd say yes, it's a definite must for this kit. It's pretty old and some of the parts are way, way over scale thickness.
