Got lucky and scored the aluminum barrel, muzzle brake, and vinyl mantlet cover from the new Dragon M4A2 Sherman kit.

Anyone know which current Sherman kits this stuff could be used on? I'm guessing the Dragon M4A3 76mm HVSS, M4A3E8 and the Italeri M4A1 Sherman. Anything else?

That stuff *should* fit any 76mm Sherman turret, but as there are many slight variances (some right, some wrong) between the different model kit turrets, you'll have to check each one. The vinyl cover was late WW II and rarely seen, but the mounts are more common.

The gun should also work on a late M18 Hellcat.

I think you've about covered the possible styrene kits. I suppose you could also throw in the Academy M4A2(76).

That aluminum barrel is a pretty nice rendition of an M1A1 76mm gun with no muzzle brake or thread protector. Put it on your Italeri M4A1 and paint the tank black and OD for an Operation Cobra Sherman.

The mantlet cover is suitable for a Korean War Sherman -- perfect for the M4A3E8.
