I like all the little symbols for the topics. Very aesthetic. I think you should promote yourself to Site Commander for this, Jim. Forget the 5000 posts.

Okay, how do I log out now? I can't escape!
You still deserve that promotion Jim, but please, as much as I'd like to, I just can't be cooped up in here for the rest of my days!

Looks super Jim... brighter and easier to read with these aging eyes of mine! VERY impressed.... do you do this professionally as well? I'd love to see some of your client sites.

Great job, Jim.
The site is quicker, clearer and somehow tougher!
Looking cool!
I also like those changes made in the main menu, it used to be a bit confusing. Of course, you´ll get used to almost anything especially if you hang around minimum 12 hrs a day!
Good job, once again. I know it can be hard to fix something that is not broken!
Feeling like home already,
Toni

Here here, in agreement with all the other comments. But Number 1 for me is that it all seems to be löoading up a bit faster. Great work Jim.

Welllll.............you were expecting this weren't you?. It is nice, but like the others said (nothing original here from me) it takes getting used to. I kind'a preferred the older posts colour scheme (to be perfectly honest) but hey....I'll adjust. modellers by nature don't really like chang unless it's in their best interest (and sometimes not even then) I like it I like it I like it!!
But there is ONE BIG PROBLEM!!!!!!!!now that the sight is so great, how will I get any work done? How shall I get any sleep?? Darn You Weblord, stop being so gosh darned clever will ya!!

Well, I'm not sure about this...
1) The home page is not loading very well in Explorer 5.1 for the Mac.
2) Won't load at all in Netscape 4.7 on Mac
3) I miss seeing that list of the 5 most recent posts.
4) do we still logout? Or are we in automatically and out automatically?
5) I like the new color layout.
6) When it loads (explorer) it loads fast.

Wow, Jim! When I first logged on late last night I thought I was on the wrong site! Had to do a double-take and look for the familiar ArmoramA.com logo to be sure.
Obviously you've been burning the midnight (& noon) oil on this facelift. Very, very nice work. :-)
I am going to have to test drive this thing for awhile, check out the nooks and crannies.

Again, nice stuff there Jim. We are all very lucky to have such a talented son of a gun as our fearless leader.. I salute your efforts!

I also see our Capt.Jack has moved his kit bag to Bhutan. Interesting, must have been the weather.

I like it... somewhat strange at the first glance, but I'm sure we'll get used to it soon. And Jim... bring Homer back...
I believe he has found a nice cave in the middle of Himalayas to practice Zen... Watch out guys, we'll have an enlightened Captain on deck soon. Ommm...

hope this clears up that item for you.
Actually, that's precisely where I get display problems!
The text for the five messages overlays the most recent features. It's like the two sets of html code are writing to the same space. So I can read parts of the recent message subject and parts of the recent articles all at once!

Andy,
If your using Netscape then I am sure I have a missing tag somewhere then. Unlike IE, Netscape 4.x doesn't interprit pages inteligently and simply "quits" when it finds an HTML configuration it doesn't like. Really annoying. I will get a machine with 4.x on it and try to smooth out the wrinkles. Not sure on the mac issues though. Downstairs I go to the i-Mac I guess.
Homer should be back on the job.
(All) Thanks for all the great feedback!

Hi Jim
The display problem I'm describing happens in Explorer.
I can't get it to load at all in Netscape.

Is that the 5.0 Mac IE you mentioned?

Hi Jim
It's IE version 5.1.4 running on a PowerBook G4.
It's really wierd in Netscape, because the site starts loading, I get a run down of files loading up, then the stop button greys out, the refresh button is available, and I'm looking at a blank white screen.
I'll try later on our eMac. It has IE 5.2.
By the way, I've been on and off-line all day, and the exact same load up problems occur. The new site looks great in IE, except for the home page and the overlay of the recent posts and recent articles.
Cheers

Hi again
The recent posts/recent articles are interleaved right near the top center/left of the page. So they show up, but are hopelessly mixed up.
I have a screenshot I can send you. Is there an upload folder I can use?
