Hello!

Don't forget that the basic M2 Bradley can also be painted in the four color MERDC scheme used in the 1980s as well as the three color NATO scheme. The markings remain virtually identical regardless of the color scheme.
As far as a 48th Cav, I looked up all units with the "48" and there wasn't a combat arms unit with those numbers.
I've checked my Academy markings. They are 2^2-I-48. The "I" is the letter I not the number 1. This would read 2 Armor Division, 2nd Battalion, 48th Infantry Regiment.
Armor uses the triangle, Infantry uses the letter I and Cavalry uses CAV or ACR depending on the type of cavalry unit.

Iam doing the Tamiya M2 Bradly and the interior looks the same as the one you are doing. So for refrence you could also look at the Tamiya Verson

Quoted TextIn your reference photo the color looks like German Sky Type S. It makes a really good interior color.
That's true - the modern US armor interior color is quite close to Sky type S. But this is not a German color, this is a color used by British RAF during WW2.
Pawel
I thought they both had one. I just checked it's RLM 84 German Sky, they are just about the same color, sorry for the confusion.

I am doing this model too. Never learn my lesson about academy models...its just to sucky...espacially the decals...
anyway, i manage to complete a WARRIOR MCV earlier, you can view it in the gallery. So this is my second model...I might paint it OD green and black. Cos those are the spray paint left over from the WARRIOR. So wish me luck

Well, don't let this kit turn you off of Academy kits. They started by copying Tamiya kits (which this kit is), but recently they have been creating their own original kits and are quite good.I am doing this model too. Tamiya Dark Yellow is not right for
US Modern Sand color. It is a WWII German color. Don't know what color from Tamiya is closest match, Buff may be. Best out of bottle match is Testors MM Sand FS #33531. Once weathered, looks just like the vehicles I have been on in Iraq and have in the motorpool.

Well i read your reply a little too late. I used the Dark yellow. It looks ok but rather weird. Anyway, i applied a top coat made from a japanese company MR HOBBY (flat, matt) as a finishing coat. But it seems white patches appear on the IFV. Please advise. I bought this top coat cos i ask the shop owner how do i make the vehicle look dry and non shine like those on display. He recommend me this can of stuff. Anyway the same thing happen to my first project the British warrior which is a OD green and black camou. After applying the top coat, white patches appear. Anybody know why?

I have never heard of the MR Hobby topcoat before, but it sounds like the same problem people have with Tamiya matt medium. These products are designed to be mixed with the paint to give them a flat finish, not as a clear flat coat. Another possible reason is that you could be spraying it when it is too humid, moisture in the flatcoat or on the model will also cause whitening or "fogging" of the flat coat. I always use Testors Dull Coat to seal and flatten out my modles. I have never had a problem with both spray cans or from my airbrush.

Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

You could try reapplying a good dullcoat, such as Testors, and hoping it covers it up. Otherwise, repaint and reapply a good dullcoat.
