Both of these projects are still in planning, although my Pacific dio is a bit more advanced -- I've started working on the vehicles an LVT(A)2 and an LVT(A)4. What I envision is Marines landing H-Hour, the LVT(A)4 is still in the water providing fire support with the LVT(A)2 delivering troops onto the beach... I've just started acquiring the figures, and am thinking about doing a log sea wall as well. I would like to try to get this one done in time for the Marine Corps 230th Birthday (10 Nov 2005). This one has moved to the back burner for the time being.
My second which I will be working on as part of the Tank Terror campaign will be a generic OIF depicting Marine CAAT (a TOW Humvee supported by a heavy gun section) moving along a canal dike on the raod to Baghdad (God knows there were enough of them in our AO)...

Sounds nice, would like to see some pics of your pacific dio !! Does the dio represent a specific landing of is it "somewhere in the pacific" ?
I still got a LVT(A)1 here, together with some marines and japanse infantery from Dragon. Hope I'll be able to make a small dio for these kits soon, but I don't have much time for it
Think your deadline of 10 November 2005 should give you enough time, maybe you've got a work-in-progress pic already for us?
Grt,
Martin

Actually I do, both the LVT(A)2 and LVT(A)4 are in my user gallery. The LVT2 is a Trakz conversion using the Italieri LVT(A)1 as a donor kit. The LVT (A)4 is the Italieri kit with Verlinden sandbag armor and stowage added, hatches come from the LVT(A)1.

how would you do the wake of an armored vehicle? in my opinion, it'd be a project all unto itself

Spectre,
You know I can't honestly say I've figured that out yet, That's one of the reasons why I'm looking at having it done by NEXT year's Marine Corps Birthday. Any suggestions?

Martin,
I'm hoping it will look halfway decent. My two gators are sort of on the back burner since I joined Tank Terror, although I do a bit on them here and there. I'm still working most on the LVT(A)2 conversion, as it's the most labor intensive... we're at a little over 40 hours right now.
