Hi all,
Here are some pics of thw two Dioramas I am working on.
The first shows a M4A1 75mm large hatch Sherman moving down a country lane just after the Normandy Landings.
( I have since removed the figures I don't think suit the scene). Tank needs painting and bits and pieces on the ground work need to be fixed up.

The Second shows a M4A3 76mm Sherman in Germany late in the war after a contact with the enemy.
The crewman on the road is shouting for a medic for the wounded infantry man lying on the road while the Infantryman's buddy is sitting up on the tank with another crewman. Still needs weathering on the road footpath and wall and the wounded guy plus tank need to be painted.

LOL :-)
Alan,
I would LOVE to paint them but at the moment I don't have an Ab but I should have one by early to mid December. I also have my final exams coming up in a couple of weeks so I need to get studying hard

I think you are one of the few people who have attempted the M4A1 75mm Large Hatch Sherman. Followed your work with the cast in applique and all the various tweaks. Just can't wait to see this rare beast completed!!!

However I understand that studies must come first.

Andy007 -

Really like what you've got going here in both dioramas. Shermans will look great and the scenes are not to crowded and detailed very well. My only though would be with the second diorama and why the "buddy" would be up on the tank? The crew seems to be covering the watching out for the enemy and the wounded man looks a little alone. I'd think the "buddy" would be sitting next to him to comfort, talk to, or give him maybe some water til medics arrive. Just an opinion on the feelinf of the scene, not a critique on work which is outstanding. Keep us posted,

Gunther: The Road is all hand carved from cork tiles. It takes a while but the end product is always good.

Blade: That is a good point. Though it is hard to see in the photos the Crewman standing on the road is shouting. I may move the wounded guys buddy down beside him. Thanks for the idea.

Here are some more pics of the dio(before i read Blades comments) The base is basically done just need to do cosmetic things like painting the edge of the base.
Once again comments welcome

Hi all,
I will find out the name of the plant for you David.
I took Blades suggestion and expanded on it a lil bit I moved the guy down of the tank and added another infantryman.
