Welcome to the site

Nice build, but i have few comments:

- you overwashed a bit on the wheels
- upper hull looks a bit glossy
- no antenna
- you could use a litlle dusting with pastels, alsto some black pastels on the gun barrel top and the MG lover hull
- same black and rusty pastels can be used to back engine parts

Nice build, few more finishing touches will make it even more better!

i agree with Mirko and the MG on the hull need to be painted metallic grey!

I thought it looked a little too glossy aswell. The road wheels are heavily weathered, yet the rest of the tank is't. Think you need to either un'weather the road wheels some or else weather the upper part more . Personally I'ld go with more weahering top side as these babies really worked hard.

hello Dave!
I think this model is very nice. I agree with Sensei. Do you have more photos of this Panther?

Tiger-Dave

Nice build on the Panther G. I like how the three-color scheme blends. Agree with more weathering on top but overall looks very good. Maybe some add ons, bits and stuff on vehicle for a touch more "character"? As was mentioned, the Panthers were worked hard. I'm about to start on my Panther G for the "Ardennes Campaign" starting tomorrow (can hardly wait, kit is right there on my table!). I can use your good work as a guide . Thanks,

Hi all,

thanks for remarks,

tank does look a bit glossy in places I guess, I did use flash photography , so that might account for some reflections/shiny factor in pic, in reality the tank is heavily weathered

tracks were dry brushed with silver paint to give that metal look,

camo scheme was hand painted and is heavily dry brushed, I dont go for the really smooth camo look, each to their own liking, but I prefer a more rugged look,

here is my sequence for doing my stuff:

1)pre-shading + spray tracks brown
2)Base colour (lightest colour, if camo scheme)
3)Camo(dont thin paint, hand brush applied)
4)detail paint (shovels etc) + decals
5)buff (for dust on tracks etc)
5b)clear lacquer seal (be very subtle with this, dont over spray, just a touch)
6)wash -mix with water(Sepia for panel lines, bolts, barrel end, smoke dischargers etc, + burnt umber/sienna mix for larger panel areas)
7)dry brush + tracks with silver+ dry brush silver, edges for worn metal look
8)pastel chalks for exhaust stains, rust etc, OR real rust mix
9)final buff spray (desert yellow if panzer, or sepia if other tank, to tie in all colours)
10)pencil detail (chips, metal work etc)

it is only a guide to myself, great thing about our hobby is each time we can experiment new ideas with each build
