Yes, to me that looks like a Panther,
I have the Dragon Model "A" late, Would this one be used in the campaign, and if so, how would I go about using the proper marking for that time period..
And if it were not used during this time frame, would a Stug III G be used.
I have Both models are new Dragon kits, I would like to use either one but I am at a lose in which one would be more promonent during this period and what markings to use as well.....
Can some one direct me to a web site, book that will cover these basic questions.....

This could be a Jagdpanther as well; Judging by the exhaust that would be an early (or possibly mid)version. And judging by the plastic color it is a Tamiya kit. For much of the lower hull, Tamiya has simply tossed in a sprue from their Panther G late kit (it includes the chin-mantlet).
Thomas
Ofcourse the Panther A would be used at that time, at least the ones that remained. Just as the Panther D. As you might know, IIRC the DML Panther A "Late" has all thee pieces in it to build an A "Early". The Stug III G was used as well... (sPJ Abt 654 had early model Jagdpanthers serving with almost undamaged zimmerit (at least that is the way it looks) untill March 1945).
The Concord publ. Ardennes book has a colorplate of a StuG IIIG with waffle zimmerit in three-tone cammo. It belonged to 15th Panzer-Grenadier Division.
Now going from pics in the Concord booklet:
Panzer A: Possible 1st Co. SS Pz Regiment 12 (location of possible drivers visor in glacis plate obscured by foliage, at least it does not have a chin mantlet (which is a G feature). Possible 1st Co. SS Pz. Regt 1. I see a few other possibles... the vast majority of the Panthers shown are, however Panther Ausf G, both with and without the chin modification.
The Schiffer campaign booklet (nr 5). Has a pic of a number of Panther Ausf D detraining in the Eiffel, according to the caption in preparation for the offensive. If correct, chance is that the Panther A, both early and late versions, were present as well.
The StuG III Ausf G is also featured regularly in the pics, both the early and late version.
I hope this helps a bit, and good luck with your model,
Harm

Tobar,
this is a link to a review on Perth Military Modelling Site: http://pmms.webace.com.au/reviews/vehicles/dragon/dr6168.htm.
As far as the Jagdpanther goes, I actually have the kit myself (just as the Panther A "late")... and basically in parts myself. I simply hope that mine will come out half as good as Rodolfo's. Our your model...
I like doing the research (the amount of books is steadily outpacing the increase in shelf-soace), up to a point that it starts interfering with building, or writing papers...

Hello Rodolfo,
that is an very goodlooking build... and a sick building speed I have to say. Just one question: Did you solder the PE-parts, or use glue ?
Cheers,
Harm

Really nice work. It is a great step by step. I can't wait for the next pics too.
I also would like to see another works, that have here in Armorama, in this style: Step by Step.
I think a new section in the forums could be created, "Step by Step", where all modelers were able to show their models while in construction, if they want. I also think it will be very useful. How about?
So, here it is my suggestion for the bosses.
