Looking good. One thing though: the SMAW is being held backwards by the Taliban fighter.

This is not the first time that jimbrae raised this question or point. He raised it the
first time late last year. Fortunately there were kind people on my side. I'm tired of
writing an affidavit defending myself, so let me quote some comments from those
kind people, as follows :

staff_Jim :
"In slight defense of the whole buyer vs. builder common to above I have always
taken FalconBBS's posts to be akin to the other numerous modeling sites that
publish images of other peoples work (my site included). I don't see anyone jumping
on the Passadena Modeler fellow when he posts about his updated pages. Maybe I am
missing something on this count. After if FalconBBS wanted to, he could have been
more deceptive and said he built them all.

I think the people who do build kits for sale that the idea of their work never being
shown (because it's not them showing it) to be rather odd. I think most would welcome it.
Cheers, Jim

Plasticbattle :
"I can't see what all the problem is about. falconbbs has been posting the pictures
from his site here for quite some time. He has never claimed at any time that they
were his work. He has always credited "art instructor" or whoever built the model.
I for one love seeing the collection each time to see all the finished models.
It provides inspiration to build. He also is first on the site with lot of newer models
finished to a high standard and this in return provides modellers with a clearer
picture whether or not they should part with their hard earned cash. He has a good
collection of models from different countries and different eras and from the post
above I would be tempted to look into purchasing the faun and the ural trucks.
Give the guy a break... some of us do like seeing the models.. eventhough they
may be someone elses work!"
------------------

kglack43 :
"So he's a collecttor. He gives credit where credit is due. He says he never
influences the builder of the kit as to "how to build and/or paint" the models.
This guy, like the rest of us, loves scale models of militaria. (wow, did I just
coin a new word?). Anyway, I enjoy seeing his collection, he's got one helluva
collection going. It might just inspire others to get into modeling as a lifelong
hobby."
------------------

I think the Webmaster of this site has made it clear that my post is OK. Who are you to override him?

Removing this post as well, as I was "enlightened" as to the origination of the problems.

Thanks Jim

Phaisal these models are good !
i for one like the idea of posting other peoples work
it gives a particular artist the chance to be seen from what ever corner of the world they hail from !
modelling is my business and livley hood so i would like to think my models, that i have sold ,or built on commision ,will be shown around (thats why i build them ) ,and not to sit on a dusty shelf never seeing the light of day! ,
i personnaly feel jim was a bit harsh for saying
Quoted Text

Falconbbs - please leave us alone. I think it's been made clear, when you present your own, original work you will be welcomed. Until that happy day arrives.....Jim

after all it's because of a similar experience i joined armorama (because the models i showed were just sculpted not painted) believing it to be different , i tried many sites just to be treated with contempt and i was met with a very unfriendly attitude
,i now donate money to armorama because i believe in it so strongly, not just as a show case for a persons "own works", but for a modelling portal for all !
this is a gathering place for for us all to share in our hobby
keep em comming Phaisal (if it's o.k. by the moderators) bought or built theyre nice work ,and it will benefit us all, whatever our modelling prowess and or abilities ,as it always does to see other peoples work

Thanks Scott, Kenaz and Kevin for your kind comments!.

Kevin, there's a big barrier between my modelers and int'l online fotums, and it's language. Apart from me,
have you ever seen any other Thai participating in such forums?. I think the chance is very slim. Anyway, all comments, suggestions and compliments concerning my modelers' works have been translated into Thai and given to them.

There are new users on this site who has just recently caught my recent post. The following thread shows how they enjoy my site and link :
