Cork is a material that have a widely use in constructingstructures for dioramas: is easy to cut, sanding and glue it.
for make stones.. cobblestones
take a plate of 5mm and cut it in strips width that your need
cut these strips in bits
sand edges with suitable sandpaper or lime
glue the bits in a previous cardboard structure

I assume you seal the cork before applying paint? What do you use as a sealer? Thanks. This is spot on for a bridge I have in mind for an ongoing project.

wow, this cork thing is interesting, i think i'll start using cork as well as drywall for my buildings etc....is cork expensive anyways?
