The 18th Cavalry was the foward unit of the 14th Cavalry Group during the Battle of the Bulge. They occupied the area around Losheim in the northern portion of Belgium. So, their markings are on the left front and right rear 18CRS/14CG then the bumper number (eg A-6) on the left front and right rear.
Trust this helps. The other Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron was the 32nd Cavalry.
