anyone have any idea on how to create 1:35 doorknobs? I know I could use sprue for the "trunk", but how should I reproduce the knob itself? and while you're here, anyone have any tips on maing cheap-looking walls? like badly plastered sheetrock or something. Oh and maybe doors? heck, anyone wanna give me some tips on making an abandoned (but not completley derelict-just empty) modern building?

Try a round headed push pin. They come in various knob sizes you can buy various quantities too.
If not and you want to scratch it, get some 'bakable clay' or milliput and make a small round piece and a bit of wire. Jam the round piece on the wire and walla there you go.

For cheap, quick walls, you can use either basswood planks or artist/architecural foam board, it is foam core covered by a heavy paper on both sides.
I second the push pin for doorknobs. i have used the above methods and they turned out great.

A pushpin or a tiny drop of white glue will do the trick.

Hi to make Door knobs is easy , all you need is a scrap piece of sprue , shape the end to the thickness you need , light a candle and offer the sprue up to the candle flame , it starts to melt , then push the molten end onto a flat surface and hey presto one door knob, It takes a bit of practice but by controling the melting effect you can make various styles . cheers ian
