I am working on a dio and i gonna be putting snow in it and i was wondering since this is my first dio and i am new to modelling, does it matter what hairspary you use and also how high should i hold the hairsray above the dio? Thank you

Steven,
What I have found best is hairspray that is an aerosol product, ozone depletion stuff. I also use the “extra-hold” type, which remains tacky slightly longer, that “normal” hold. As for using on dioramas…just kidding. When you spray you want to mist the object although not saturate make it tacky not wet. This has work well for me in the past
Good luck
Jay

The older stuff in spray cans (AquaNet, etc). When you overspray, hold the can high enough so that it just floats down on the dio (experiment on some scraps first).

You may want to try White Rain with the pump applicator. I find it works very well as you can spray almost directly on the "snow" without disturbing it. Cheap too.

that is what i use and its perfect, i also think it puts out more coverage than an aerosal can.
