In reading Tank Sergeant, There was a reference to "Roadrunners" which were Military Police 6x6's with a Maxson turret with quad 50's. Anyone have a picture of these?

Sure thing. Actaully, they were used by the transportation corps, not MPs for convoy escort. Here is one done by our own Gunny, Jim Lewis.
Here is a link to his complete build article. Nancy Guntruck
There is also a kit of Nancy by AFV Club as well.

Thanks sir. The author does specifically state that they were MP's.
I know that after a while in Nam, the MP's painted over or left off the Military Police markings on their vehicles while doing Convoy Escort because the VC would target them first.

The MP's used V100 and M151 MUTT' s for convoy security. The Transportation 8th Group supplied the Gun Trucks for the convoy security because the MP's were spread thin. At first we used the M-35 2 1/2 ton like Gunnies example[e of the Nancy. We later used the M-54 five ton series trucks because they could carry the added weight of the armor plate that we added to the trucks to protect the crews. https://armorama.kitmaker.net/photos/showgallery.php?cat=12306&ppuser=1742 You can go to this link where I have some photos of the actual gun trucks from Vietnam and the 8th Trans Group.

Hi Darktrooper - welcome to the Site.
Below is a picture of a M706 that I did representing one of the armored patrol cars from the MP Unit "The Road Runners". These all had a cartoon 'Road Runner' painted on their front flank and maintained the MP markings on their vehicles at the time they were escorting convoys in Vietnam.
