Hola medeplakkers,

I'm working on the T-72 produced by Tamiya wich I obtained during IMPS in Nieuwegein, Holland.

I have been working fulltime for almost a week now. I made many sub-assemblies so most parts you won't see on the photos

I bought the following AM sets for this kit
-Verlinden update set
-Eduard PE
-Eduard Aluminium barrel
-Friuls

The Verlinden update set made me feel really upset because of the lack of information available on the motor compartment. So it was onevitable that I made a few stupid mistakes which drove me crazy. So I'm very curious about your opinion.

Here are some pics

Very cool. Your DshK is supurb. And whether your engine is correct, it looks asthetically pleasing.

Jurjen-- as always, your workmanship is superb. I question the amount of slack you allowed in the track. A T-72 has return rollers and the track would somewhat tighter than you have it depicted. Someone else jump on me if you think I am wrong, but I believe his set-up is more akin to a JS III than a T-72.

I read on a site some time ago that the T-72 tracks had 97 links. So my fruils have 97 links too. But I think I will remove a few links. Thanks for pointing this out

Great job over all, but I agree that there is a little too much sag on the tracks, take a look at this and and this photo.

Yup, thanks for the photos. I will make the tracks a few links shorter.

Hi friends,

Here is a small update. I removed one link to each track so I suppose it looks better now and I started with painting the motorcompartment. These are just the base colours.

Great work,

I like the engine and the retooled gun. Your more tight tracks seem OK to Me. The newer tanks rarely have so much sag as on your first series of pics.

I'm eager to see more pics when you complete your kit.

cheers
