Just thinkin of sharing my idea and getting responses on that .
As some of u know i will be building for the next 4-5 months i guess my big russian diorama .
Participants at least 4-5 different vehicles (2 of them heavy russian tanks) and over 15 pre calculated figures . There will be intense landscape , trees and the rest .
I was thinkin on making a detailed sbs on the whole dio work. that ,means
1)The idea
2)Planing of the dio
3)Preparation and main setting of the base
4)materials for the base and the sealing of it
5)working with plaster bantage
6)working with celluclay
7)groundwork
8)tree making
9)foliage
10)Vehicles construction -painting - damaging - weathering
11)figures painting and posing
12)Finishing touches and deatail arrangements
13)Photo shooting for presentetion
and probably some other stuff that will come up on the run .
For your info i have started making the base and i am shooting step by step pictures of it . i ll do also the same for the vehicles.
This "article" will eat me some great time since i intend to write ..well almost a lil book, and have many many pictures in it .
So i wanna make that as a kind of "payback " to all the fellows that helped me after the lab disaster and of course as a huge proof of my love for Armorama.
So please let me know if u re interested in this , i ll be really glad to offer that to all Armorama members .
Costas
I also want your opinion on that . Since i plan to do all of the above , i think its not appropriate to post updates of this work as it goes forward. So everyone can see it completed. But then....i am not sure of it .
So please give me your idea

Sounds like a really big project you have there Costas... Planning on sleeping in the next few months?
The answer, at least for me, is simple - i'd definitely like to see it and I think in-progress shots would add enormously to the expectation of the finished 'production' ...o.k., what are you waiting for? - Get started!...Jim

Sounds like a great idea.
An article, with a lot of in progress pictures, would be very welcome.
4-5 month is a long time. I think it would be a good idea with a few, in-progress pictures during the project, as teasers for the article.

Yes - Yes - and Oh - Yes.
Check out jackhammer81's Brave Souls feature.
That got A LOT of 'traffic' and was really well received.

Hi,
I agree that some in progress topics with a few photos will be a good apetizer for the final article.
If you go with it I will ask permission to translate it for publishing at the section in portuguese.

Costas,
Superb idea, as for in-progress pics, with your anticipated timeframe to complete the project, the progress pics could become an invaluable reference to others working on projects.

I also am interested in a SBS. The more information of this type that is easily available, the better!

When i started modelling about 4 years ago, one of the biggest early influences was Doc´s Dios. Great SBS guides on all that was needed and plenty to attract to curious mind.
Since then, Doc´s Dios has went down and there is a need for a site to have a complete SBS, where new modellers can get many tips and all the ideas and help they need.
Armorama provides a great base for questions and all the help needed, but the first step and visualation of the whole process is needed.
Good luck Costas .. its a big plan but I can almost guarantee it will be very very rewarding.

Question One. What is SBS? i'm new here and unfamiliar with the term.
I was thinking, maybe a Kursk Diorama. Three T-34's going after a Tiger?

Costas, It is great to see you doing the "big dio" again It will be an added bonus to have you do the step by step for us and make it into an article. Its these types of articles that help everyone learn and to further their knowledge(everyone does things differently) base. I am looking forward to it!! Cheers Kevin
