This is an academy das reich Tiger.i added no aftermarket items at all ,the tracks are individual and are from the kit,but i used a set of Tamiyas road wheels as the academy ones are crap.i like the way the Tracks ended up,i used a mix of black and brown, then weathed them with mig powders and to finnish of i used a silver pencil for the track wear.hope you all like it ,please leave me some comments,Thanks

Hi Karl
I have not made many AFV i think yours is great the tracks and the weathering the metal effect on the Tracks very effective also the rust on the exhaust real great job.

looking real good man! just the exhaust....a little overdone I think, they probably would be replaced by the time they're that rusted. But that's just me

but besides that, I still think it's a great one. Far more better than my own :-)

like the tiger, once again a demonstration of a model looking really great without being filthy. Everything is balanced and great. One thing I noticed is that, IMO, the camouflage is a bit too blended. Correct me if i'm wrong

Thats a chinese symbol that was applied on the tank. The symbol is said to have been a ring worn by the tank commander.and it was put on upside down so luck doesn't run out! Thanks for all your kind words.

The chinese character means fortune, by invert it , since invert is phonetically similar to chinese arrival. Hence, an inverted character like this means the arrival of good fortune.

Nice tiger. I had done the exact same thing with interior, aber set, and friul. love the S33.

Karl, that is a mighty fine build, the rust on the extra piece of track is real good. The only thing I would do different, if I was you, sense your tank is so clean, is your tracks.

With it being so clean it would show a lot more shiny parts, like where the wheels rub together, plus the tracks themselves, would have a lot more wear parts showing, being clean like it is.

There is a lot of metal touching as it moves, which in turns makes it shinny, now if it was a lot more dirty, then it wouldn't show, it only has to move a little bit to shine up them tracks, anywhere it rubs.

Now them mufflers, I have no idea how well they kept up on replacing them, so they could have gotten real bad I have no idea, you need an expert on that.

I really like it. The tracks look great. I also like the subtleness of the weathering.

I like it....
I really like your touch with the pastels..
I have an Academy Tiger I myself, without the interior,
My question to you is "What after market products would you add to your Tiger if you were to do it all over again.??"

For what to add, I would recommend the Aber tiger I set which including tons of PE, metal rods, tow cables, the barrel, etc, etc. It's pricy, but you can go crazy with it.

The Friul tracks are awesome too.
