This is the DML T-34-85 UTZ kit, built OOB and adding some damages. This kit is awesome! I built it in just 5 hours straight. The fit is perfect! Almost like Tamiya's offering. One last thing to do is to work on the tracks. Hope I do it fine. Still have to clean up seams and such.
Slightly bent the sides to show a heavy weight has just been dropped on it.
Tried "damages" on the wheels.
Fenders share some damages.

Hi Ralph,
I have build this kit too some time ago. It is a very good kit. Your build seems very good to me. Are you going to add some weldings on the turret? If you have any interest, I wrote an article about how to add those weldings.

Are you going to put it in a dio? Keep us posted

Hi Jurgen! Yes, I saw your article and was inspired to work on this one. I'll give your article a try since it'll be a long sanding process if I fill it up :-)
Diorama? Maybe yes or no. Yes if ever I find these kits at my LHS

Looking good!
I have that same model in my to-do-pile. When I find the time, I'm going to build it as a captured Soviet tank as used by the Finnish army. The good thing is that it can be built as a Finnish vehicle almost OOB. All you have to do is shave off the lump of the turret turning motor from the side of the turret and buy after-market decals.. And possibly remove the front fenders. Basically that's it, but it seems I'll have to do some extensive research in order to build the numerous finnish gear, that was added.
If anyone's interested in building Finnish armour, here's a site that has great pics of almost all Finnish tanks that were used in WW2: http://www.andreaslarka.net/

Looking good. nice clean build.
I have this kit also along in my to do pile.
Looking at the kit in the box, and at your completed one, it strikes me that the hull and turret might benefit from some more texturing. What do you think?

Cement can do your texturing. Just dab it on the surface and brush on and on. Texture will start to appear The turret is texturized well. It may look smooth due to the lighting.

Tried adding some welds. Instead of using paints, I've used oils :-) I wonder how long till it dry? Thanks a lot Jurjen!

Looks good to me Ralph. Oils eh? Lol, I don't know how much time they need to dry. When the paint is almost dry you can add the welds and clean up the edges of the weld.

How did it fare? I use 8 part flat green + 4 part olive green for body color. Paint's still wet so you see shiny areas. On to weathering and detailing this next weekend. Sorry for the bad lighting. The lighting is too bright.
