I ought to finish this kit OOB until one part suddenly snapped off... so I did something extra on it. BTW, this is the cheap Academy 1/48 kit.

Painted with 1 part Tamiya Flat green + 4 parts Tamiya Light Green. Seatbelts were scratchbuilt using masking tape, painted in OD.

Right wing cut off. Now on to scratching the interior part. I got the ref pics but I don't know how to start!

Thought I would like to show little engine here

Front engine painted and weathered...

Really good shonen. The interior looks way too green to me; like someone slimed it. But your fuselage color looks good. As for the wings my only advice would've been to scratchbuild the wings before glueing them together and constantly dry-fitting. Obviously thats out of the question so, just work really carefully. I learned that the hard way with a Revell TBD Devestator a while ago. Good luck.

As already stated, the interior looks too green, but this might be due to the camera flash. As to building the wing fold. Start with an airfoil shape for the inside of the wing on each half to block off as much area as you can. There should be lightening holes in these pieces though. I would suggest painting the inside of the wing pieces flat black to cut down on how much "empty space" is behind the wing structure. Once the ribs are in place, check your ref pics and try as best you can to duplicate what you see. Test fit often, test fit often, test fit often. Did I mention test fit often? Nothing worse than "thinking" something is fitting like it should, only to discover that it fits like crap. Good luck on the rest of your build. "Q"

Almost forgot, one other thing I see is a lot of scratch marks from sanding. An easy and effective way to smooth these down is to use steel wool. It can actually make the surface shine provided you rub enough :-) Also check your prop attachment rod. In pic 5 it looks like it is angled up a lot. If so, your prop wont sit level. Ok, thats about it. Good luck. "Q"
