I just have a couple of questions.

had the tiger 1 during the winter(stalingrad) zimmerit and which colour was the tank painted during winter.
I think grey but i'am not sure. (I have searched on the internet but I coulden't find anything)

It did not have zimmerit yet, and it was painted in Panzer Gray, which is a very dark grey.

Hi Rob ..just to let you know that there were no tigers at Stalingrad...but they were not that far off ..they were in Karkov.

if it is winter it will probobly have a white-wash also. So the base is the panzergrey and the whitewash on it. it should look somthing like this except my base coat was yellow.

you are right I also want to put an whitewash on it.
there was a nice picture of it on this forum.
were there in the complete war during the winter no tigers with zimmerit, I think that they were there.

Zimmerit came out later in the war.It didn't start showing up until late '43 around the same time they first started using the 3 color camo scheme. If you have an early version Tiger, chances are no Zimmerit unless applied by crew. Mid production Tiger probably would have factory applied. They discontinued applying so most late production version won't have it.

Some of the earliest "mid prod" Tiger 1s were fielded without zimm, but subsequent "mids" and all "late prod" Tiger 1s had zimm.

So in normandy 1944 the tigers had zimmerit.
