i love painting with oils and prefer them over all other kinds of paint, but they dry sooo slow. they drag a figure that could be done in about a week to several weeks. so what i would like to know is, is there any way to speed up the oil drying process? thanks in advance.

Justin,
I paint my figures flesh areas with oil paints and I felt the same way. I hated the drying times. So I started putting them in a crock pot (slow cooker) for a few hours. I mount the figure on either a cocktail skewer or a un twisted paper clip and set it into a block of wood and put the whole assembly in the crock pot. Let it sit for at least 2 hours on low heat and voila . Take it out and let it cool before you do anything else to it. Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Bryan

Another thing that i have done is to put a 100watt light bulb in an articulating arm lamp and place the light pretty close to the figures to add heat.
