Last week I succesfully bid for the Italeri M24 Chaffe on Ebay Only $24.50 Hope I don't get ripped off Now what all besides changing the tracks to the all steel type do I need to make it into a WW 2 version? I know Fruilmodel has those type of tracks, although I would prefer plastic links Back in March of 2001 I was at a kit collectors exebition in Buena Park California (if you get a chance go to one some great deals can be made Look in FSM for show dates) and a vendor was selling a conversion kit to make a WW 2 version It had a bunch of resin and photo etch parts I can't remember what the manufacturers name was I wish I would've bought it,back then, but I couldn't find a Chaffe at that show

I believe the kit you're looking for is by Royal Model which has both PE and resin update parts.

Sorry for the lack of the who has it.
It's over at Great Models If you're unfamiliar with their layout, just click on "Cross Reference" from the left side and fill in the fields accordingly. :-)

Congrats on getting that kit!
DES make resin tracks for the WW2 version.
You can special order them from GreatModels, and they aren't too expensive.
They will take FOREVER to arrive though!

Thanks for the links Kencelot and Cdave Andy I think I'll go with the Fruillmodel tracks Seems like they would be easier to assemble than the resin links I couldv'e swore some one made some all plastic workable links of the steel chevron type Some chinese maker I heard

Hey Generalzod,
BTW, do not forget that Armour Track made a WW-II version of tracks. It comes with a resin drive to fit the individual track links (ala ModelKasten).
Got mine from VLS.

Is the Italeri Chaffee still around? When you get the kit let us know what you think of it.
Also, does any other company have one out?

Other than the tracks, the Chaffee is a nice kit. No Italeri kit is ever gone for good, look at the old M7 Priest, back by popular demand. Is the Italeri Chaffee still around? When you get the kit let us know what you think of it.
