Looking for any 1/35th scale airfield accessories. I have a Panda 1/35th UH-1D that I would like to set up on a tarmac section/airfield diorama. However, while there is plenty of 1/72 and 1/48 airfield stuff, i.e. APU's, bomb loaders, flight line trucks, etc. Anyone know of anything for 1/35th. I've also seen printed stock of airfield and tarmac sections, but not in 1/35th. Thanks for the help.

Verlinden makes some 1/35 PSP plating..... A couple of Jeeps would look good in it......

I agree with Matt. If you are doing an Army helo, treat it as any other AFV. Army helos are usually down in the dirt just like the troopers, especially in Vietnam. Dirt base with a few 55 gal. fuel drums, some boxes of ammo and maybe a M151A1 jeep would look great. Usually, there was only a PSP section large enough for the skids to sit on, nothing more.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Thanks fellas. I just didn't know if there were any sets in 1/35th. I know Verlinden has some nice resin and plaster bases for the Vietnam Helo pads in 1/48th. I guess the ubiquitous PSP and some generic sandbags will just have to do. Thanks again.

Why not use 1/32 parts from aircraft? The difference in scale is minimal when whole models are shown together, but seperate parts like engines, wheels, etc should look OK.
Below is an image from Stockholms IPMS open 2004. It shows how this can be done, and the scale difference is not noticeable, but the effect is great. Im sure there are some model just the aircraft without interiors that are not seen and would be glad to sell thier unused parts. It doesnt hurt to ask!!
