I got the Sd Kfz 251 Ausf D and it has those tracks. They were idividual tracklinks. The detail is better and they're already pre-cut! No more sprue cutting. To build them, just hook it up with the other link and place the rubber pad on top. Haven't built mine but that was shown in DML's main website.

EZ tracks eh??? They precut them but because of the way they are molded you get two big punch marks on the inside of each track.. I think I'd rather cut than fill and sand! (always got to complain about something) lol.

My thinking exactly. I have one of their 3-in-1 251 kits with these tracks. Fortunately, that kit also has their other tracks. I'll take clipping and cleaning the attachment points over filling (the knock out marks are recessed) and sanding any day. Sure, they may be EZ if you don't mind huge circular depressions staring you in the face.

I believe Magic tracks are actually "rubber band" style tracks. LIke the one piece racks included in the new M4A2. Just my 2 cents worth
cheers,

If it truly is an accurate Tiger with the proper turret offset than this is a very welcome kit. I also believe I have heard that the new "Magic Track" is like the rubber band in the M4A2 Red Army Sherman. I personally like individual tracks for German Armor to get the proper sag. I guess it will be a set of Friulmodel tracks for my kitty. I'm also looking forward to the Tiger(P) hope these don't get held up in Holiday shipping. I think we are probably not going to see much of the new stuff here in the states until after th holidays when the model companies don't have to compete with all the electronics coming out of Asia. Just my thoughts and from speaking to my friend which manages a hobby shop he's feeling the same way. Model companies just aren't going to pay the premium for shipping at this time of year for the small US market. They'll have them in Europe and Asia long before us on these. Sorry not meaning to sound like Scrooge.

I ordered one from HobbyLink Japan. Reasonable price. Kit does not come with zimmerit for the turret and hull. I asked sometime ago if someone could refer me to a zimmerit application source......does anyone know where I can get an application kit?
thanks

I just received notification from HobbyLink Japan that my 181 Tiger I is enroute. Total cost was $44.40. I doubt my local Hobby Shop can either beat the price or even has the model in stock.
You might want to try them. PMMS has a fairly detailed discussion on the kit itself.

DJ, I searched all over the hlj.com website and I can not find where they are offering that kit. Can you point me to the web page you found it on? It's not listed under current or future released unless I am blind (likely).
Thanks
