Hi,
I've nearly completed my interior (at least what will remain visible).
Any comments welcome.
cheers

Are you sure these aren't the pics of the real thing?

Very nice, impressive work. Some cables are missing, but through the turret hatches this will look great!

You're fully right. All the pics I have show those cables but I don't know where they start from and where they go. As soon as I've enough clues, my intent is to represent the main ones.
Thanks for the comments

Try my motor pool. Access it through the link below. It should have most of the cabling in the turret "crawl around". Adding most of it is mainly overkill.

Looks great. One note, I assume you are building it as an M1A1 w/120mm main gun, if so the rounds in the ready rack should be aluminum color. 120mm rounds have an aluminum alloy end cap and casing, the casing burns up when fired and only the end cap is ejected. 105mm main gun used brass casings and ejected the entire spent casing.

No, the vast majority of the 105mm rounds were aluminum colored as well. Only a few types of 105mm rounds were brass. We called them "wiffleball sabots" because of the dimpled appearance of the sabot. I had to spend a day carefully sending these types of 105mm rounds down range so the brass casing could be used as gifts or decorations after they were polished up nice and shiny.Looks great. Looks great. I can only think of one thing to add. That would be either the deflector for the casing end that ejects on the 120mm guns or the arming lever/spent casing deflector on the 105mm guns. Then again it has been 17 years since I was on one of these and maybe they are different now.

Thanks Rob, I knew if I didn't have it completely right, MAJ Rob would correct it. Point still stands though. 120mm rounds should be aluminum in color.

Rob, I feel your pain. I have had to do the same with PACK 75 Salute Gun rounds as well. They do make nice gifts once done up and mounted on a wooden base though.

Well I knew I had some extra work to do, thank you all for your comment and advices.
The rounds will be painted aluminium and some wiring will be added as well.
A special acknowledgement to Rob for its tremendous Motorpool.
cheers

You're welcome. In the motor pool I have a photo of an aft cap (what the end of a 120mm round is called). They are normally a dull aluminum color as Gino states.
Truthfully, I wouldn't bother to repaint them because they look so nice.

For something that will be closed up and only seen from hatches, very good.

Very impressive indeed. Did you scratchbuild the parts shown in your pictures?

Most of them, yes. I detailed the floor, the seats and the stowage racks with plastic card and tubing. The thin metal parts come from the Eduard set, the mesh come from sets from Aber and On the mark Model.
The base kit is the Dragon USMC HA first release (not the Baghdad one).
