Did the Soviets use any specialized engineering vehicles during WWII? I have seen a couple of T34's converted post war into recovery vehicles and one bridge layer from during the war. What about mine rollers or flails?

T34's and KV I's were used w/PT-3 mine rollers late in the war. I believe Kirin used to have a set in resin quite awhile back while Arsenal out of the Ukraine(?)has/had one in plastic.

Some war weary T34's and KV I's were also used as turretless tugs.

Yes, the above mentioned PT-3 mine plow was used... Maquette makes one and Zvezda has just released it's T-34 with it:

Zvezda

Also, many of the damaged tanks were rebuilt as different engineer or recovery vehicles, Armo makes one of these for the IS-2, the IS-2T:

Yup the T-34 had a mine roller called the PT-3 and there is a kit made by Arsanal and you can get the mine plow with the T-34 from Zevzda or Maquette the mine plow is a nice kit it even has some instructions in
English too.
