Can anybody point me to the color of Russian tools. I know America paints them either the color of vehicle OD or flat black,what about the Russians same or what

I've always seen them the same as German tools (i.e. the same color the tool would be if it weren't on a tank, steel).

My reading tells me one of wo things:

1. Paint them the same color as the vehicle, then weather/chip the paint.
2. Paint them as "not painted" i.e. wood and steel.

I do not think you could go wrong with either

The Soviets in WWII did not waste resources on being fancy...

Thanks I will go the black route and a little rust at the edges. And yes you are right the Russians are lucky if they even had any tools to put on their. I bet we gave them bunches of them.
