Some of the coolest dios ever!

And one of them with flying Hurricanes! How are those planes attached? I didnīt see a hint of revealing shadows of anything suggesting any kind of metal rods or similar.

Yes, these dios are absolutely amazing. My favorite is "Against the Wall". I have actually contacted the builder (JOSEPH NEUMEYER) to see if he could share some of his secrets (techniques) with me and understandably he refused. Since he sells his work to the public it would have been silly for him to disclose how he achieves such great results. He did mention that he might eventually come out with a book describing some of his know-how.

I look forward to this, since he's quite some artist on modeling.

Ah yes, I've seen this site before. Really great stuff.
I believe the planes are attached via internal rods through the wingtips to the trees that the respective wingtip is next to.

I looked into this with "Eagle-eyes" but I really think it's a masterpiece. I've been thinking, that the pics where digitally edited, for a long time. I considered the rods possible, but didn't see evidence of it on the pics.
I now do think it's done with rods and admire the way it's done.

The Vietnam patrol boat is great, too. Great foliage in all his dioramas.

Yeah, I have a feeling those have been touched up with the help of Photoshop...

I don't think those pics have been "Photoshopped" -- I think the planes are attached through metal rods in the trees. Note that each plane has a wingtip touching a tree.
In my ever so humble opinion, when you're as good a modeler as this guy is, you don't have to resort to photo manipulation.
Fantastic stuff!! I'm green with envy

This guy makes wonders... I like every single diorama on the site. The foliage on Vietnam and Burma dios is just wonderfull. Against the Wall.. well, the sea and cliffs look so real that you can smell the atmosphere.
And about Treacherous Crossing.. I have studied the pics and it seems that both planes are touching the nearby trees with their wingtips as Hollowpoint suggested. Great work, can't wait for the tips from the master.

I fully agree, but somehow I don't believe he'll provide the tips...

Let's just hope there will be a book like Marty said.. With all that pics and tips, it could proove like a great seller among us wacky modelers. #:-)
IMO it is a shame when great modelers are not willing to share their techniques... I think that when you have the knowledge, there is no better feeling than to share it with others who are interested. Just my oppinion on the subject...
