hy,
my problem is the scale, yes i know but thats the challange at the moment i try to build up some small wall in a wood, so i try to use "not" buildings of shops, so what would u use/take for a little wall? i can´t find stones at a flowershop, or garden center, that looks good an god the same form.
in a shop i found this online:
but iam not sure what i have got to put in... stones, yes, form, ok... not nature, know what i mean? why to copy if u can get the real...
so if anyone has a good idea, please let me know.
thanks, greeting from germany

Wowsers! Drunk by name drunk by typing
Excellent work old bean.
At those smaller scales pebbles glued together - wash a dark grey wash, then drybushed with light brown and a very light grey looks ok - I have done this for smaller scale terrain for wargaming - it suits for that but maybe not for a display piece
Best of luck!

Wow 1/87 scale? Well once you get down that small you do have to be careful.
Why don't you try sandpaper, fine grit sandpaper can be glued to a block of wood and painted to represent rock. You can even cut it to give seam lines.
At that scale you really just have to give the impression of rock, you don't have to get 100%.

thats my big problem. first thanks all for help.
so i am my biggest kritician? kritiker... i mean, all i do, never is best bevore i like it 1000 percent. so i try and try. my 1/87 scale is a mix of 1/87 and 1/72 flaks are bigger and greater to mod as just in 1/87, streets, houses and the so on, will scale 1/87.
ok, so i try to mess myself with the builders here in forum, i know, never posibly, but i try it so hard to get near perfect like u do.
i get the tip of another garden center in my town, they will have more stones, maybe i found something there. sandpaper, good idea, but not realistic enough for me, sorry, like i told i got the perfekt work syndrom (i know *lol*)
i keep u up-to-date, thanks all BUT if anyone have a realistik idea, let me know... i didn´t thought that there are stones in this scale to buy...
but look at the store pic, if u made stones in 1/35 what did u use for? pflaster of paris? i read this word often, don´t know what it means, translations found nothing.
so, thanks again, happy for every answer.

Ok - no problem, if paper won't work then try...
and get a bathroom tile from a hardware store that has the texture your looking for.
Or as suggested find small rocks and river/stream pebbles that will give you the texture and glue them together.
Lastly look in to some after market stuff that can do the trick.

Was genau meinst du?

For all the others:
I described a Method of making any Building with castable ceramic and simple tools like knifes an needles...
